YogaKids is a unique approach to integrated learning using yoga as a pathway. Reading, storytelling, music, creative arts and earth-care blend easily with yoga movement to educate the "whole" child. The YogaKids curriculum provides children with an exciting new way to explore and appreciate their creative potential.

Our certified YogaKids facilitators have completed a rigorous 12-month, 310-hour course to teach this integrative approach to education. Classes are 75 minutes and are conducted in a normal temperature room. To better manage the YogaKids program we now require registratration for each 6 week class series. Each YogaKids class series is divided into three age groups:

YogaKids (Ages 4-7)

YogaKids (Ages 7-11)
Yoga Teens (Ages 11-16)

Below are more detailed descriptions of our classes:

YogaKids
Ages 4-7 and 7-11
Traditional yoga poses, breathing techniques and deep-relaxation are explored. Students will experience the physical and emotional benefits of vinyasa yoga flow (a sequence of poses linked together by breath) and create their own personal flow. The theme each week will resonate with the students as they relate personallly to topics such as: Renewal, Focus, Inner Hero, Awareness, and many others.

YogaTeens
Ages 11-16
Teens will gain an understanding of how the elements of yoga can help them find peace, balance, and physical and inner strength in their life. Students practice sun salutations, fun yoga flows, and short meditation exercises that can recharge, focus, and/or calm the mind, body & spirit. Breathing techniques that help energize, calm, cleanse and/or balance the mind are also learned.

Parent/Child Partner Yoga Workshops
Ages 6-16
This workshop is offered periodically throughout the year. This is a class for children ages 6-16 and their parents.  This is a great opportunity for the child and parent to do something healthy and creative together! 

This class will include partner yoga, games, music, and relaxation.  Join us to learn about yoga and build a stronger bond together. Workshops are offered periodically on Saturdays...Check Series & Workshops on Webscheduler or News & Updates on our home page for upcoming offerings.
